EVENT PREPARATION CHECK SHEET

(BASIC FIELD KIT)

Clothing and Uniforms:
  1. A Complete Confederate and Union uniform, unless the unit assignment has been posted.
  2. A spare Shirt
  3. Weather appropriate items, coat, undergarments etc.
  4. Extra socks and underwear
  5. Gum blanket or poncho
  6. Tent (Dog Tent) or Small A Frame
  7. Bedroll Wool Blankets or quilt (Do Not Bring a family heirloom)
  8. Tin or copper cup, three prong fork and spoon, small frying pan, and mucket
  9. Rations
  10. Canteen
  11. Weapons (Enfield Musket, Bayonet, Sword and/or Pistol as required)
  12. Ammunition Cartridges, and extra powder and percussion caps
Personal Items:
  1. Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste, comb, or brush, Washcloth, Toilet paper
  2. Medication
  3. Leather shoe strings (have numerous uses) or a rope twine
  4. Bug Spray, Mosquito repellant and Sting Kit if needed
  5. Fire Ant Killer
  6. Matches
  7. Pipe or Cigars if smoker
  8. Small sewing kit
  9. Basic Gun cleaning kit
